2 pink lady apples
1/2 apple sauce
1 tsp cinnamon
Store bought pie crust
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line muffin tin with muffin liners. Put the dates in a bowl and put warm water just so the dates are covered. Let them soak for 20 minutes.
Take the cores out of the apples and slice the apples very thin into half moons. Place them in a pot with 1/2 cup water and apple sauce. Simmer them on low heat until the apples are pliable.
In a food processor blend cinnamon, dates and the water that the dates were in until smooth.
Once the apples are pliable take them out of the pot and let rest.
Cut 2 inch circles out of the pie crust. I used little tart tins to measure. Place them in the muffin tin.
Line the apples up long ways, one slightly over lapping the other. Put a layer of the date paste on the apples (this will help them stick) roll the apples into a rose. Place the apples into the pie crust lined muffin tin.
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
