Yes, I have never had the easy, open faced sandwich that EVERYONE eats. I would really love to try it. It seems delicious since you can’t really go wrong with a creamy, buttery avocado. Unfortunately, we didn’t have avocado so I couldn’t pop my avocado toast cherry today. Instead, I made toast with homemade hummus and cucumber. It was easy, quick and healthy! Protein rich and low in calories to satisfy your hunger and savory cravings.
2 cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tbsp umami paste
salt and pepper to taste
Blend everything together in a food processor. I suggest adding the umami paste a little at a time and tasting it in between. This will allow you to get the taste you are looking for.
